Friday...
first of all, TGIF!
i reali need the weekend break to catch up on sleep and to catch up on all my commitments too....
tis wkend, i've had friends asking me whether i wanna go Lancaster, Toronto or New York...
i turned everything down...though i did give NY slight consideration since it's onli somewhere nearby....but yah, eventually, i decided i wanted to and needed to sleep more and to finish up as much work as i possibly can...and also to catch up with some frens online if i do see them....
and aniwaiz, i'm flying to Seattle on the west coast next weekend...so this week should be spent clearing work....
more about the Seattle trip in next posts....

the pervasiveness of the internet and overall, globalisation, is amazing....I've said before that I feel that I am still so connected to everyone back in Singapore because of the inter-connectivity offered by the internet and its associated technologies....
today, someone on msn came to tell me that I've been the inspiration to her with regards to entrepreneurship and to apply for NOC as well...
i was totally surprised....well, we are not exactly dat close friends yet although she is definitely a friend....
that's cos we have onli communicated a few times before on msn to work on the design of posters for TTH back in NUS....
hmm, i definitely felt flattered but more importantly, I was happy that my thoughts (blog) has been a good influence on her....and anyone else who reads my blog....
go go go! if u r passionate abt entrepreneurship, go forth, set ur goals and work towards ur dreams!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
so, this week has been a busy week...
still, i managed to take time out for some necessary human activities....that is, socializing and networking....
i attended this entrepreneurship networking event on tuesday, in full suit and everything...
and this time round, i felt much more comfortable talking to strangers oredi...talking abt business.....
one of the persons i was speaking to (an American entrepreneur with a startup here) asked me this question...
'So, what would you say that Singapore has to offer best to foreigners to do business over there?'
Well, i wasn't really dat prepared to answer such questions, especially one that has direct implications on my beloved country's reputation....
however, i wasn't caught off guard....the first answer that i gave him was... 'Our clean government'....
i said that with pride....and it came naturally, for it is reali sth which I am proud of our country....
next, i went to to tell him about the pro-business environment which the government creates....and the drive for entrepreneurship and more innovation in recent years....especially in technology-intensive businesses....
At the end of the conversation, he revealed that he was going to have a potential business deal signed with a Singapore company and he might have to visit our little island later this year...
so naturally, we exchanged business cards and parted....
So so proud of Singapore you know...
everytime I mention our country, people will be curious to know more, or people will almost always have nice things to say about it.... =)
right, aniwaiz, i had a fondue party the night before oso...at my fren's place...
i've had too much chocolate recently...need to cut down on the heaty stuff oredi....it's giving my throat abit of probz....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
reali glad it's friday....i don tink i'll be doing much more tonite oredi....juz had a 2hr meeting....
had 4 meetings in the last 4 nites....had classes tis wk too....
starting to feel a little weary....
but last nite, i managed to get some leads onto how to get my market research done...and so yah, gotta work on that on day tmr....
i was telling heR that i was reading this 132pages document from the FBI that charts its strategic plan for the next few yrs ahead....well, it did give me a little headache....
hmm, okie okie...again, i tink i might hav missed out some stuff which i wanna say....
well, i wanna do some leisure stuff now le...like doing some online window shopping...hahaz...or do some reading....etc....
ohh yah, i rem oredi!
i'm going to be an emcee of an event again!
a smaller event this time...but still, i'm going to emcee! hehez..
ohh, yah, and suddenly, i rem more thgs i wanted to say...hahaz....
i attended the first lesson of the Wharton module i'm taking this sem...it's called Negotiations....one of the most highly recommended modules in Wharton...
and it definitely lives up to its name...
first lesson, some brief introduction...and out of the class we went....one on one negotiations....had to do 2 negotiations in the first lesson alone.....whoa!
but it was fun....i tink i'll be a much better negotiator by the end of this module...not juz in business dealings but in all aspects of life in general....
i am pretty impressed by wat i saw and experienced in the class....
hahaz, kk...i tink dat's abt all lah...
take care all my dear ones....don worry, i wun overwork....well, i'll try not to....at least, i'm going to take a break tonite....
