It is my 23rd birthday today!!!

My first ever birthday in US....and it's like, oh my god, it's totally unforgettable....i've got so much to say, and as usual, i noe i'm going to be reali long.....

(I can oredi imagine ppl like ZW and Olive or XQ, etc having the looks on their faces that Jinfa is going to give some long speech again...hahaz...)

alright, here i go...

last nite's mooncake celebrations was reali reali fun! all of us had fun and we took many fotos too, but i haven't gotten most of them and so i can't post them out....

but well, like i briefly mentioned in last nite's post, i was kinda victimized...hahaz, cos the guys lifted me up and into my room, onto my mattress and tried to strip me!!! dat was traumatizing, and onli a last ditch struggle and effort by my writhing managed to prevent myself from being totally stripped....

phew....dat was a close shave....well, the same thing happened to me before and many ppl during the army times...but i reali reali didn't want to be stripped last nite esp when there were girls arnd....although they closed the door once they lifted me into my room....

alright, since i'm talking abt my noc frens, lemme juz continue abt them...

i received such a pleasant surprise tonite!!! it was TOTALLY unknown to me...they kept it reali reali well...

Xiankan, my roomie, was actually trying very hard the whole nite to make me go to bed earlier cos they oredi have some plan.....but i didn't go sleep...

and so somehow, he managed to make me go bathe...and how timely could it be....

i went to bathe at 11.50pm, juz 10mins before my bdae...

when i came out, my room lights were off, and so i thot he was oredi asleep cos we r supposed to wake up at 3.15am later to leave for our trip...

but wat baffled me was y he closed my laptop cover....dat was strange because he doesn't usually do dat....

when i lifted my laptop cover, the light illuminated the room somewhat, and with my specs which was dotted with water droplets, i saw sth which looked round next to my laptop....

juz as i was groping for the switch to my table lamp, a WHOLE GROUP of ppl suddenly jumped out from behind me, from inside my closet, and SHOUTED Happy Birthday!

Whoa! I was totally shocked and i jumped....

and so when i recovered my composure in a couple of secs, i realised dat it was my dear LudLow Angels Family....Xiankan (who pretended to be asleep), Joey, Elvin, Kelly, Jessie and Estella....

they started singing me the birthday song in english and then in chinese....

i felt so so touched....they went to such lengths, got a cake, even got a present (which will arrive on monday and is supposed to be sth kinky??), and planned so much juz to make sure i get a reali good surprise...

and yes, a real surprise i got because i was reali clueless as to wat was happening....

i was speechless, all i could say was thank you and thank you and even more thank yous.....
i reali didn't expect dat....in Singapore, i don usually even celebrate my birthday....yet over here, i get such an elaborate celebration from this bunch of my batch 8 noc mates who have known me for onli a few mths....so far, it's been reali fun and nice to stay and work with most of them....
and how much I adore them, especially my Ludlow Angels Family....
yah....Ludlow Angels is the name we give to our entire household of 9 persons....so nice....

Videos were taken too...it's a totally memorable birthdae...and i am so so so so touched....love them all....

At a time when I am alone in a place entirely on the other side of the world, it means even more when I receive simple birthday wishes from my family and frens back in Singapore...
it tells me how much i mean to them, and i reali do appreciate dat alot, and i feel so lucky to hav family and frens like u all....
it reali makes every min and every sec of my life worth it, no matter how busy i am, it is alwaiz u ppl who r the main source of my motivation....
no matter how cliche it might sound, it indeed is true that other than my family, frens have alwaiz been the other essential factor that fuels my progress...and i definitely owe much of what i hav todae to many of my frens....

i ought to thank Ade first,....thanks Ade....i've still got most of the foodstuff u asked Xiankan to bring over for me back in August....thanks so much, i reali appreciate it alot....and pls take good care of urself k, work is busy but work is endless as well....rem i wat i alwaiz use to tell u....
take gd care of ur health and don give urself too much pressure at work....

thanks XM...i feel so bad dat u spent so much money....reali, as i've told u, a simple birthdae greeting is enuff to make me smile all dae long oredi, which is what i've been doing all dae long....can't help it....i juz feel so blessed...thks....
u reali noe wat i like huh....hahaz, i'll enjoy looking at the ZSH pictures in the pictorial books! and yah, hahaz, u said dat i hav no choice but to use the handphone thingy....yah...i'll use it...will take foto for u to see... =)
i'll drop u an email as soon as i return from my trip....i can't do it tonite cos i'm leaving in abt 1hr's time...and i need to catch a nap....

thanks my dear bro ZW, we r thousands of miles apart, but pls continue to jiayou, and have the same sort of fighting spirit we have in common all along...the sort of attitude towards life, towards our goals....i can't wait to receive ur card...hahaz....for someone who doesn't write much, i feel reali flattered dat i'm receiving a card frm u....take care bro....i promise i'll drop u an email soon...i got so much to tell u!

again, my wish is to want all my loved ones, my family and my frens to be as happy as i am....

i reali feel so blessed....
