todae was a fabulous dae, to say the least....
it's so memorable for me dat as i fight the tempatation to nod off, i'm still so eagerly typing away, recollecting the dae's events.....

the dae started off when i woke up at abt 10.30.....although i was still tired, i guess i was kinda excited abt todae's gathering....and when i'm excited, i usually rouse frm sleep pretty earli, regardless of the time i slept the nite before....

as promised, i went to the airport to see Fiona off.....CS was there....along with her NTU frens.....it was pretty interesting talking and listening to wat her fren had to say.....Geraldine if i'm not mistaken....hahaz....

well, Fiona was in quite a rush, and I shook her hand and wished her all the best as she was abt to enter the gates....1 of the reasons y i went to see her off besides the fact dat she's my fren as well as CS's gf is cos i'll onli get to see her nxt yr....aniwaiz....

CS asked me to go with him to LA to visit her before i head off to Philadelphia.....
i'm considering....but the costs and other arrangements as well as approval frm NOC will be tough to settle....

Zhiwei met up with the both of us at Dhoby Ghaut area.....the 3 musketeers went to the Selegie Beancurd stall to hav our drinks before we walked back to paradiz to play pool and arcade....
at abt 6, we walked over to Suntec cos i had arranged for the girls, Meijia and Elysia, to meet us there at 6....

anyhow, along the way, 3 of us went to the temple at Waterloo Street to pray juz before it closed....
as we continued our walk, we walked past tis pub/bar which looked quite cool frm the outside....
it's called Gas Haus....which i realise it's pronounced as 'Gas House' later at nite....
we checked out the place and decided to reserve a table for the match at nite....hehez....we assumed dat the rest would wan to watch as well.... =p

and so, we continued our walk towards Suntec to meet Jiarong, Elysia and Meijia......

the original meeting time at 6 was not accurate at all....hahaz, for one, the 3 of us were oredi late...but even though we took our time to walk towards Suntec....the rest were even later....
hahaz....tis Elysia lah....sleep sleep sleep....and overslept.....and made Meijia wait for her at the mrt stat alone...
but well, it didn't reali matter lah....hahaz....i juz like to complain..... =p

when everyone finally reached at 7, 6 of us went to hav a simple dinner at Suntec foodcourt.....after having to eye the tables for an empty one like a hawk hovering over its prey.....we finally got a 6-person table...hehez...
dinner was simple fare, and as usual, i guess i was the noisiest one....starting all kinds of conversations.....hmm, i did make a conscious effort to involve everyone and not to let anyone feel left out....
cos although all of us noe each other, but i guess maybe i noe everyone more.....and some ppl r shyer by nature...hahaz, so my role was more of a catalyst..... =p

eventually, the conversations did get going and Elysia started some nonsensical but funny story abt 'holes'....which got me baffled for a while when she said dat guys got 2 holes and girls got 3! hahahahaz....damn funny....i muz hav looked like a dork with dat blur expression on my face....

Anyhow, we left after dinner and slowly made our way to Gas Haus.....and continued our chats along the way...

the talk abt soccer alwaiz tickles everyone's temptation to place small bets....for socialising purposes....and to inject more adrenaline and excitement into the 2hrs match viewing.....
i decided to follow Zhiwei and Changsheng....hahaz....and take the underdog, Japan....

my initial plan was to place bets with them but cos i didn't wan to play too big....i eventually settled for a personal bet with Meijia, who insisted on Croatia's ability to beat the Japs....
Obviously, i wasn't too impressed and managed to convince her to take me on....hahaz....
the prize at stake?
Originally a Starbucks coffee, it was later changed to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream after some persuasion by Elysia...who by the way, is not involved in any betting, along with Jiarong....keke....
Elysia kept giving me the look, and obviously i knew wat she was hinting at....she wanted me to change the bet's stake to sth which could give me an excuse to ask Meijia out.....
hahahaz....i don blame her man...cos the entire nite, i was teasing her and Jiarong.....and ohh no, i feel so bad....i tink i may hav gone a little overboard, but den again.....there was so much laughter and entertainment value....everyone enjoyed dat..... =p

Anyhow, i tink i wouldn't reali need to find an excuse to ask Meijia out if i reali wanted to...do I? No, i don tink i need an excuse....hahaz....if one needs an excuse to ask one's fren out, den wouldn't dat be a little strange?

Alright....back to the main story....
the match started....and Changsheng, Zhiwei and I were continuously making ALOT of noise throughout the entire match, much to the amusement of the other 3 of them....hahahaz....
We booed, we jeered, and we cheered the Japs on....hahaz....
when the Croats missed their penalty, 3 of us jumped and shouted so loudly dat all the heads turned inside the bar! hahaz....it was as if Japan had scored a goal themselves!

throughout the match, whenever Japan was threatening, we would be so excited....poised to intimidate the Croatian supporters by shouting and yelling.....hahaz....
it was so fun.....and to quote wat ZW said....it feels so good to be drinking, eating and watching a live soccer match in a bar with good frens.....
well.....my sentiments couldn't be more exact den dat......cheers bros!

Ultimately, the stubborn Jap resistance proved to be effective against a demoralised Croat side which saw many of its chances gone wide or stopped in the nick of time by their opponents....

and of cos, I won the bet, along with my 2 bros....hehez....
and so i'll be expecting an ice-cream treat oredi....hahahahaz.....
Jiarong didn't bet....oso good, otherwise he'd hav lost....hehez.... =p

we took some fotos and left the bar.....cos it was getting late and most of them had to wake up earli the next morn....except me....hehez....
there was some deliberation on how the girls would get home.....in particular Elysia....hahaz....
i guess my teasing made her abit paiseh....
cos she felt paiseh to let Jiarong see her home.....

oops, sorry man....but the last i heard, she smsed Jiarong when she got home....so bro....see, i actually did help okie.....hahaz....

All of them took bus back....and onli left Meijia and I.....
I saw her home of cos....it's kind of becoming the norm oredi....and i'm used to it oso.....
A pity the timing isn't right.....
Given the same setting, if the time is 1yr later in 2007 Jul or Aug, I might hav done more den juz see her home.....yupz, i might.....
Well, oftentimes, time is of the essence in many of life's issues and is definitely a pivotal factor in such a case which i'm talking abt.....

Man proposes but God disposes.....it's all destined....

i reali enjoyed myself very much tonite.....thks to all of them.....i believe everyone enjoyed themselves very much too....hahaz....
i particularly like the camaraderie between us....esp with ZW and CS cos we were all rooting for Japan....hahaz...

sipping a little alcohol and letting ourselves loose by shouting, yelling and simply didn't give a hoot abt our images, it was reali relaxing....and for awhile....we were onli absorbed in our actions....and in our own world.....
feels reali good....and it will constitute a part of my memories.....nice....

I rem i was telling Meijia sth abt memories on the way back.....
i guess everyone has his or her own special set of memories.....me included....and with tis bunch of frens, it has cemented a concrete part in the memories' section.....

i will miss many when i'm not in Singapore....
i will certainly miss tis clique.....

i wonder how many ppl will miss me.....
