Thursday...

Went to Science Park for lunch wif Zhiwei and Changsheng cos Fiona's working at PSB (NTU attachment), well....somehow, we didn't manage to catch the bus back in time for our 1pm EE2007 tutorial...well, mine was actually on Monday, but I skipped it (hee, play truant), and was supposed to join theirs todae...but we missed todae's one as well, so going for tmr's one wif Jiarong....no leeway for errors this time, regardless of deliberate or unintentional ones....

Went for this TIP Seminar wif Olive to clock our first of 4 seminars necessary to get that 2mcs...The theme of the seminar in general was 'From Ideas to Investments'...There were 3 distinguished speakers, Bob, Doug and Tan-Jhoo. While Tan-Jhoo was instrumental in her clear explanation about what VCs look for in business plans, Bob and Doug were the ones who impressed me the most. Armed with their years of entrepreneurial experience, sharp business acumen, charisma and more, they caught the attention of the audience with ease. Anyway, I was particularly inspired by Bob's speech as it was motivating and mood uplifting.

The highlight of the seminar only climaxed towards the end. An Indian man, abit siao siao one, went up to the mike to ask the so called 'last burning' question. What he asked, or rather, said, was alarming. He actually kind of reprimanded BOTH the guest speakers as well as NUS students in general. I didn't really catch what he said cos of his slang....tis is an excerpt of wat he 'sPouteD'.... (cos nonsense is spouted, haa)

CIM = Crazy Indian Man

CIM: @#&Y&*H$D (gibberish) I noe tis is for NUS students, but they are not asking questions, or rather, some of them are asking silly questions....#$*(^#&$
CIM: Also, I feel that the speakers shld reserve some consultation time for the audience to approach them when necessary, and NOT like what is being done now....

What the hell was on tis man's mind? He was soooo RUDE! Shooting off his mouth like that! Notwithstanding the fact that he did not even thank the speakers in the first place, he actually smeared them and us NUS students with such irresponsible comments. Am I not right? His remarks were simply tantamount to insults....Everyone was flabbergasted by what he said. I think the speakers were kind of caught by surprise, or rather shock too. Olive said that probably he felt frustrated that he wasn't given a chance to speak or wasn't given an opportunity by VCs before, but those certainly aren't excuses for him to behave in this manner. Nonetheless, the speakers were gracious enough to try to answer his so called 'question', and at least he sensed enough dislike for him and stepped down from the mike in time. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if the guards came in to usher this eccentric queer fish down.

Aniwaiz, enough of that.....this week, I had some crazy time wif my EE frens again....on tues i tink, changsheng or junhui started talking abt dono wat....and we got each other nicknames....yest after the run, we got new ones too...hahaz....let's see if it is easily deciphered...

Everything will be OK in the end, if it's not OK yet, it's not the end.... (Bob Lin)
