Saturday...

Kailing and I - Sweet isn't she? I had to entice her wif the chocolate bar before she'd pose wif me, hehez....

aniwaiz, kailing is the daughter of one of the staff there...like mother like daughter, both look so cute...hahaz...

I had an absolutely FUN day!!! =) can sense my jubilance?

Went to Yishun Student's Care Services' gathering todae....it's the place where i go to every Friday evening to do the community service which I've been involved in for 1.5yrs oredi...last 3 sems to be exact...

As a matter of fact, I had expected today's event to be boring....Sorry Xiqian, no offence but I know u didn't even feel like attending it yourself! hahaz, anyway, i didn't regret going, cos it was FUN for the couple of reasons.....

  • Made new friends! Dat's so ZappinG!
  • had fun playing the games cos there was alot of interaction between staff, volunteers (like us) and students!
  • i luffed like mad all afternoon! hahahaz...
  • bumped into an old fren, he was my junior in NPCC in Anderson sec....hahaz...small world..

His name is Hong Bin. 2 years younger than me. I was quite close to his batch when I was in secondary 4, I played soccer with them quite a number of times before, so I guess dat's y he still recognises me. We had a great time catching up with each other....hahahaz....Although I got to interact and acquaint many new friends, it was through him that I befriended this girl called Ai Ling. Like Hong Bin, they are both 21 this year....1985 batch....

What struck me as the most impressionable part of both of them was their willingness, passion, enthusiasm and efforts in contributing to society.....In spite of their tender ages, at 21, they both exhibit maturity way beyond that! Don't misunderstand...they are not those boring, dull 'nerds' who constantly espouse their values....but rather, they are fun-loving, exciting ppl....like many of us! hee.... u can say that they epitomise the 'Right' kind of youths the govt is trying to develop...

Me, Hong Bin, Ai Ling and her fren (Clockwise DirectioN)

At 21, while many will bemoan the lack of financial freedom, or indulge in their own luxurious hobbies, both of them were immensely passionate abt serving the community and returning what they've been receiving from it. In fact, they are so enthusiastic that they are even considering careers in social work. I was impressed....had fun chatting wif them....and exchanging contacts....Subsequently, I'll be giving Ai Ling advice on her fundraising efforts for their YEP to Cambodia this March....and HongBin, so happened to be hooked on kayaking as well...so we'll be heading out to sea sometime free....hee....another kayaking kaki oredi!

Nice bookmark? hahaz, Ailing's grp won this and she gave it to me (it's their YEP fundraising souvenir) - abit gurly though..hahaz...

aniwaiz, the event was cut at 5+ and everyone left feeling very happy....some of the children were still luffing at me...hahaz....cos I was Osama Bin Laden in one of the games....kana hit by xiqian they all oso lor....kauz...1 by 1 hit my back so hard...tink not pain ah....hahahaz.....we had some drinks at northpoint foodcourt, Xiqian, Junhui, Shumin, Kailun and I...before I went to do some shopping...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm pretty sure by now that I wanna sign up for the Ballroom Dance class. Last week, I saw this Inter-Faculty Games for Canoe Polo....I was so excited....I dragged Changsheng to the booth and we both registered our names....but from my timetable, I guess there's no way I can squeeze it in.....so sad....

Yesterday, 2 of my EE frens dropped a core module...EE2011 - Engineering Electromagnetics, which is notorious for its difficulty level and the fact that it deserves more than the pathetic, paltry 3mcs which we r getting now....Now, Changsheng and I are the onli ones left taking presumably the MOST hectic schedule in the entire of EE year 2....nvm changsheng, we'll chiong together....and pull our cap into the 4.50 range again.... =)

I'm going to the Singapore River Hongbao this Friday! I'm so so looking forward to it....so excited....cos it'll be great fun! The Chinese new year spirit in the air, the goodies, the colourful and creatively done up booths, the cny songs, and most imptly, the right company....will zAp me i'm sure...hahaz....ohh, the fireworks will be tremendously beautiful i'm sure.....

Tmr, studying wif my JC pals again....Darryl will be there tmr....(finally)....alwaiz absent....tmr muz lecture him oredi....hahaz....

Life is wonderful....I had great fun todae....
Am looking forward to Friday's trip to Esplanade Park! yAY! =)
