Sunday - Chinese New Year Day 1

hahaz, realised my childhood ambition for a short while, hmm, but i look like one don't I? hahaz!

it was a superb day! Visited 3 places... lotz of fun and catching up with relatives! some, we reminisced abt the days when i was still a little boi....some we simply had lotz of fun playing, and gambling...hahaz....took many fotos too....wow...i'd like to take myself thru tis day again, now and in future....

with many fotos...of cos i'll put my favourite one first....logical right? hahaz, well, the foto above was taken in Charlene's room, my cute and pretty little cousin who's studying nursing in NYP now...talk abt her more later on....well, i had to pester them to help me take fotos repeatedly till i was satisfied....hee....

yah yah, tis is not exactly a 'new' shirt cos i've worn it once before oredi....actually i got a new shirt which i like alot oso, bought frm espirit juz last wkend....but i've decided to reserve it for an equally impt date later...hahaz... =p

Destination 1 - Grandma's House

because my grandma was oredi at my place for the reunion dinner last nite, we had oredi caught up on alot....Hmmm, not dat much to catch up on oso cos i visit her quite regularly....everytime i visit her, she's so happy, so i'm happy too =) tis year, we reached earlier so didn't manage to bump into my cousins, Wee Keong and Sze Lee....hmmm, hope to see them soon....kinda miss them and our crapping every time we meet...hahaz...

Destination 2

Ah Beng Ah Ma is our old neighbour....we used to stay in Queenstown....when i was still below 5yrs old....all these years, we've been keeping in contact and she is one of the regular relatives and old frens whom we visit every year....she is a very very kind old lady and a very devout Buddhist....i really really look up to her and respect her immensely....Both jies jies are extremely intelligent ppl, good genes run in their family, all of them have high IQs....hahaz....Ah Zhu jiejie graduated from NUS in 196x + in dentistry....i really enjoyed chatting with them every year....despite the apparent age gap, they are all so IN....i felt so comfortable chatting wif them....hahaz, they also commented dat i look much more relaxed tis yr compared to the last.... =)

ah beng ah ma reali dotes on me....she has alwaiz doted on me the most (relative to all those arnd us) since i was a baby...i guess we hav dat kind of affinity....and we click too! cos both of us are very chatty =) she's reali the kindest old lady i've ever known in my life....i wun elaborate, but she indeed is.....
when she heard dat i'm going overseas....she said she'll get me an amulet from tis temple in taiwan if she is going in March....i was so touched....well, it's high time i re-contact ah beng (Daniel), who is her grandson and my old playmate back then in Queenstown....

Destination 3

Most of my cousins in Louise's room....

The third destination was my cousin's place in Tampines....Louise, Roger, Charlene and Jeffrey...Although we all gather every year, this is the first time we are at their house....it was so fun at their place....first....i muz mention this cousin....Shuying....hahaz....it's amazing....we haven't been very close cousins, cos we don see each other dat much all along since young...but the Shuying now and the Shuying back then are so different!

In a nutshell, i was like....'WOW'.....wah...she's so pretty now! if i see her on the streets, i tink i'd turn my head to look again lor...hahaz, i muz admit i took a few looks again, cos i was still amazed....we didn't even noe dat we are both in NUS, okie...she's in Arts Yr 1....3 yrs younger den me mah....BUT the most amazing part was when i asked her abt sch life and whether she joined any ccas....she first mentioned PRU, and so she realised dat Janus and Siyong are both my gd frens...hahaz....den she mentioned YEP, and soooooo coincidentally, she's going on the one which i was organising the entire year in 2005!!! WAH!! where got so ZUN wan? hahaz.....i'm still amazed now....wow....

after dinner activity was the usual....Gambling....while the table was full, I entertained my cousins in Charlene's room with my crapping...hahaz...yah yah, i'm very lame and crappy i noe...but at least i made u all luff right? hahaz....Charlene....i muz mention her as well...cos she's 1 cousin i don usually see in the middle of the year.....yah yah, thks for lending me ur stethoscope, otherwise i cldn't hav posed as a doctor....hee....yea, Charlene is a very sweet looking girl...see....

wah....3 mei nus....Jasmine, my sis and Charlene....i'm impressed...reali.... =)

we chatted in her room, the 5 of us, while the rest were preoccupied with their gambling....it was nice chatting, cos we don usually do dat very often...hahaz, so we got to noe more abt each other's lives....esp us knowing abt charlene....i'm impressed cos she is reali passionate abt wat she's studying....nursing is a very noble occupation as well....but not many ppl nowadays wld be willing to take up dat challenge....keep it up Charlene! and remember to go look for dat 'guy'....don keep each other waiting....hee...

thereafter, we joined in the gambling as well...i've never been reali fond of gambling...and cos i've NEVER even won once before in so many years....i juz didn't reali try to join in...but to my surprise...i ended up winning $8 tis yr! hahaz, it's considered a feat lor.....given that i lose every yr...hahaz....yah, we play 21pts every year....hee....

thks jason, for being so serious in ur acting...hahaz....

wah...super long post....but good...cos next yr if i don get to come back to singapore...i'll hav a gd time recollecting the fun time i had in 2006....reali reali enjoyed myself tremendously todae!
