Monday...

I'm back from Colorado, and safely back in Philadelphia at 2.30am right now...
the flight back was delayed by 2hrs...cos of bad weather....well, the flight from Philly on Friday was delayed by 6hrs, but nevertheless, it was a reali great trip...
let me juz briefly summarise the trip, tog with some pictures of cos...

On Friday itself, we were considered really lucky to be able to fly to Denver International Airport (DIA) because all flights to DIA for the previous 2 days were canceled due to the sno
w blizzard....we were in fact the first US Airways flight to make it into DIA in dat few daes....
We eventually reached my friend's aunt's bf's house at night after long waits and delays at the airport as well as the bus station in Denver, CO...the evening was spent unpacking, getting acquainted with each other and so on....

On saturday, like I had mentioned in one of my earlier blog posts, we had a snowball fight in the morning which caused me to lose my contact lens, my shades and got some slight injuries...but i'm fine....
Then we built some snowmen and I built one on my own too...which so far, has gotten positive responses from my frens....hahaz...
alright, at this juncture, let me juz insert some fotos before i continue...

Me lying in the snow on sat morn...Me with the 2 other snowmen...Snowtubing...Fun!

Getting ready to jump [Part 1]
Jumping in progress [Part 2]
Here I land! [Part 3]

That same afternoon, we went to a neighbour's house, his daughter is soooooooooooo adorable, she's called Fiona....i took quite a number of video clips of her...hehez....she's such a sweetie....3yrs old....so so so so ultra cute.....maybe i'll upload one of the videos tmr.... =p

We then headed for a high-class Italian restaurant in Denver city that same night....and Aunt Meow gave us a treat....so kind of her.....it was quite ex lor....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On Sunday, we went skiing! We went to the Eldora Ski Resort....at an elevation of more than 10,000ft....it was totally cool! I can't emphasize more on the cool factor....
it was my first time skiing....and it's totally fun....anyone who has a chance to try it really ought to try it...the adrenaline rush when you are skiing down the slope at super high speed is just exhilarating....
it was cold though, and a mild snow blizzard began the moment we arrived...
the high speeds, combined with the negative temperatures, and nervousness as I challenged myself to a new sport (and later on very steep slopes) was enough to keep my energy high throughout the day....and to Christmas eve in a ski resort in the best ski state in the US was really exciting....
again, i will post some photos....and maybe videos tmr or sth...
here goes...
After conquering the scary 45 deg downslope, i'm rewarded with a breathtaking view...
At the bottom of the 45 deg slope...trust me, it was frightening fast coming down...

My buddy's gf and me...we stayed at her aunt's bf's house...
Snowboard by my side....

That same evening, we had a nice, quiet and peaceful Christmas eve dinner at home....a couple of my frens who r reali good chefs cooked and we had a very sumptuous spread...hmm, don tink i'll post the pics here...too many oredi....but it was a unique christmas eve celebration...

On Monday, which was today, we went to the South Boulder Creek....hmm, i'll cut the long story short...it is a very nice place with beautiful views too....hee....yah yah...dat's it....wanna go sleep soon le...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's surely a unique Christmas cos firstly, it is a White Christmas....and we were lucky to get that much snow....
and then, I had the chance to ski on Christmas eve...something which I have never tried before...
high up in the snow-capped mountains....it was reali very fun with my gd frens arnd....
although it'd hav been even better if my family and loved ones were with me.... =)

on the second connecting flight back to Philadelphia tonight....something really SPECIAL happened....
no, it wasn't the air turbulences we experienced....
it wasn't the food or drinks on the flight either....

it was a WEDDING PROPOSAL!!!! woohoo! check it out!
And so the story goes...
John (his real name), took a flight a few months ago and sort of got to know this air stewardess.....they got together after that, and tonight, he flew on the same flight as her (prearranged of cos)...and proposed to her in mid-air....at 35,000 feet! how cool is dat?!!
And she said YES, of cos! hahaz, we often see such scenes only in movies...but i saw for myself...hahaz....makes me wanna be in love now too.....
When we landed, I walked to them and shook their hands and congratulated them.....hehez....

hahaz, well, overall, i must say that this is one of the most enjoyable trips for me in the US so far....although we did not cover as much ground as we wanted to....i guess this style of traveling suits me best....
It's not the quantity of places covered that counts...it's the quality of the trip that does count....

Certainly an unforgettable Christmas with snow, with new friends, with a new sport....with the wedding proposal....
and although my whole body aches like mad now.....and that i still hav to go to work tmr (it's 3+am now), i tink i reali enjoyed myself....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yah, before i go to sleep...or maybe i wun yet....juz abit more...
my parents bought tis spanking new cupboard for me....$300....so expensive! hahaz, but well, i like it of cos...looks cool....and will be able to store more of my stuff when i return next yr...
thks daddy and mummy!

Xian msged me last night asking me abt my New Year plans.....which well, if you still remember, I will be flying to Chicago on the 30th, which is this sat....
they r going to have our usual WiseUtd New Year gathering, but this time round, SY and I wun be in Singapore to join our WiseUtd bros...
nevertheless, they are going to arrange a video conference! I'm so excited...hahaz, hopefully we can find a common time which we can all do so together....
and i'm sure they'll enjoy themselves like we did last yr at the chalet....a wild night....hahhahaz....

okie okie....
i've said too much tonight....
and i'm feeling kinda tired too....more tmr....

and again, thks everyone, i miss u all as usual....
=p

A season for Love...
Awaiting mine... =p
