Saturday...
fortunately i didn't wake up with a hangover although i onli slept like 4hrs+...
actually i reali don like it when everythg's like so rushed and so tired while going travelling....
but well, sometimes i reali don hav a choice as i gotta follow the crowd.....nxt time i'll start to take control of the reins more...
hey XM, we talked for abt 1hr 20mins yest leh....i didn't realise dat it was so long until i saw the skype time....wow....amazing....by the end of the 1yr, it'd hav completely justified the buying of ur mic and earphone...
i'm pretty pissed off with the accomodation and moving thing....i reali reali am...
i'm trying pretty hard to keep my cool.....

New York....
my first visit there....
we went to so many places....let's see....i'll briefly describe them...
our bus arrived at NY's chinatown....and we had our lunch at tis hk-styled cafe....i had udon with beef balls and vegetable...
thereafter, we went to Little Italy to take a short walk, which is juz beside Chinatown....
it wasn't reali dat nice...but when we returned at nite to revisit Little Italy, it looked and felt much better....alot of al fresco dining...but the prices were pretty steep....so we didn't eat anythg frm there...
in the afternoon, we got a day pass which gave us unlimited rides on the subway....
our first destination after Chinatown and Little Italy was well....Times Square....the famous place where every New Year's Eve, millions of ppl would gather there and in Singapore, they'd alwaiz telecast the Times Square Countdown first....
Seeing is believing....Times Square is amazingly flooded with electronic billboards ALL over! although most of them are advertising ones, they look real good and attractive....well, once i post my pics, u'll get to see them...
At Times Square, we went to their famous Toy sr us'.....shux....i dono how to spell it...hahaz....but it was quite fun there....the american kids reali hav much more sophisticated toys than their counterparts in Singapore...again, wait till i post the pics....they r enuff to get any normal adult excited....like how i was tis aftn....
We also went to Hersheys....there...they have all the interesting Hersheys chocolates dat cant be found anywhere else in the world....we didn't buy anythg though....hehez...pretty circumspect in our spending...
Thereafter, we continued walking down...and reached 5th Avenue...again, it's pretty famous if i'm not mistaken....5th Avenue in New York....where all the most branded boutiques are.....juz to name a few....AX, LV, Abercrombie and Fitch, Elizabeth Arden....etc....we went into a few...but of cos we didn't buy anythg...the whole place was like the Orchard Rd of Singapore....
there's even Taka there! we were pretty surprised...hahaz....
Many of you shld have heard of the world famous Broadway musicals at NY too...right? they have so many nice ones....Mama Mia, The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, etc etc....but the tickets are extremely expensive...cheapest is US$60...and even those were sold out!
well, i gotta catch at least 1 Broadway Musical during tis 1yr....it's sth not to be missed....
We dropped by Rockefeller Center too....well, we didn't go up to the observation deck to get the bird's eye view and so there's nuttin much to mention abt there....maybe the nxt time perhaps...
Finally, the last destination arnd dat vicinity was Central Park....again, another pretty famous place....but by dat time i was quite shagged and hungry...and all we wanted was food and rest....
And so we headed for the subway station....and tis time, we went downtown.....to Wall Street....
Yes, Wall Street....and pretty soon, we were taking photos outside the well, again, famous New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) at Wall Street....
having heard so much abt it....it feels kinda strange standing juz outside the door of NYSE....hahaz...
After a simple dinner....we walked towards the final destination of the dae....Ground Zero....
Ground Zero used to be occupied by the twin towers of World Trade Center....
I felt a tinge of sadness as i saw the entire place and memories of the entire tragic terrorist act came back into my mind....so many had died....thousands others who sacrificed their lives while trying to rescue others....
the entire place...the once majestic towers....are now reduced to a construction site....where rebuilding is obviously in place....for a new tower called the Tower of Freedom or sth lydat...
************************************************************************************
yah, we didn't manage to go to King Kong's place... (Empire State Building), nor the Statue of Liberty which is located on a separate island and would require a ferry to reach there....
but nxt time....NY is onli 2hrs bus ride away so we'll going there a few more times at least over tis 1yr....
i guess pictures speak a thousand words....
i'll try to upload them later...
reali reali tired now...
still got to move house tmr...sianz....
wish im' back in Singapore now....

"A friend is better than an enemy, especially when you're overseas.."
I can safely tell u that when u're back in sg in one yr's time, u will have a much higher tolerance level as compared to the past.. Take it as a life lesson yar? ;P
