Monday...

todae was house hunting dae....went along with 3 of my batch frens to lease offices all round center city and university city....thru market street to chestnut street to walnut street....
Interesting huh, the names of the streets....i thot they r quite cute....hahaz...all then nuts and stuff..

well, it was tiring, and especially so after my exercises yest and dat i onli managed to sleep 6hrs....
i juz woke up frm a 5hr nap....whoa....a staggering 5hr nap....frm 4.30 to 9.30....
so dinner was a simple affair...
Nevertheless, i took some effort to ensure dat i've got all the nutrients dat i need....
As many of my frens shld noe, i'm pretty up to date alwaiz when it comes to health and fitness news....hahaz....
yah...and so carbo, proteins, fats, the different vitamins, nutrients, minerals...i try to get as much of the good stuff as i can...

Dinner
- A 3 layer sandwich with peanut butter, a slice of cheese and lotz of canned tuna
- A whole tomato
- A glass of 3-in-1 blueberry oats cereal
- 1 big scoop of snickers icecream (oops)

hahaz, so i guess dinner although simple, was good enuff....i ought to eat more vege though....
the ice cream here is quite cheap....dat's y ppl eat alot....
For eg, a pint of Ben & Jerry's can cost as little as US$2.99.....in sg, it's definitely $9.80...
Same goes for Haagen Daaz icecream u see at NTUC or Cold Storage supermarkets in Singapore....

Plenty of such newspaper stands at street corners...some r free, some need to pay....got all kinds of newspapers...there's even 1 called Philadelphia Gay News! Check it out!

Tokens used to take public transport like trolleys and buses, railway even i tink....costs $1.30 each...if u don use token, u gotta pay $2 cash....damn ex.....and it's all in USD fyi...
Sometimes, i rather walk....get to burn calories oso...hahaz...

my second time doing grocery shopping....nice huh the fruits and vege section...all the different types of peppers and jalapenos and eggplants....i shld try all of them sometime....u don reali find them easily in sg i tink...

A food truck! there are many of such food trucks arnd....got all kinds of food u noe....like the one above, it's chinese food....i've seen american food, jap food, korean food and even middle east food!
cheapest food arnd i tink....and i got my first chinese meal in america todae!

tada! my first chinese meal in the States....one of my all time favs....sweet and sour chicken.....hahaz...costs $3.25 but it's typical American serving size....ultra large....i fell into a deep slumber after eating it....hahaz....tastes not bad too....but the stall owner could show some improvement in service.... =p

i'm got programmes for the next few daes oredi....and they are not abt touring and travelling....
Got lotz of admin to settle.....phew....all the troublesome but essential stuff...
And i'm finally meeting my boss on Thursday! wah, abit excited abt it....he wants to meet for lunch for the introduction and then bring me arnd to see the workplace after that for orientation.....yah, i'm pretty excited abt it man....hehez...

there's a conference tmr....we've been invited to go too....need to wear formal 3 piece suit and everythg....but the other 3 don wanna go....i'm still contemplating whether i shld go tmr or not.....

first up, I miss KTV!!!! i miss partyworld and kbox! i wanna sing....
fortunately i hav all my chinese songs in my laptop and i got a chinese songs supplier in Xiaomei too...thks girl!

Todae, i chatted with Olive for the first time on msn since flying....
She told me sth very touching....i was like....Wow.....i didn't noe dat.....thks alot Olive.... =p
as promised, i'll cook for u nxt yr when i return....hahaz....hopefully my culinary skills would hav improved by leaps and bounds by den!

Aniwaiz, i've received emails frm some frens....thks for being so concerned abt me.....everytime i see an email frm a good fren, my face lights up with smiles and a cheeky grin....hahaz....
Of cos, frm my parents as well....i alwaiz rush to click the link to their emails....

I wonder how many of my frens r right now....hopefully everyone's fine and enjoying their hols before sch reopens in aug....Come august, everyone of us will be busy and well, it'll be harder to chat with them as often now....Around Oct and Nov period, it'll be even worse, with NUS having their exams and pre-exam preparation rush....and i'll probably be up to my neck with work and deadlines....

i'm missing all my frens quite abit....having to form new friendships here isn't reali a big problem for me so far...i had expected it to be more uphill task den in singapore, but apparently, i've found it pretty easy to talk to ppl, to luff tog, to crack some lame jokes, to juz make the friendship forming process easier...
Although it isn't as tedious as i had thot it'd be, it's still different frm the firm bonds which hav been cemented over the years....friends u noe u can more or less wholeheartedly trust, frens whom u noe u can count on when u r in trouble or simply need a listening ear....and frens whom will celebrate with me when i'm happy...

yah, nonetheless, it is still necessary to make new frens here....in fact, i'd say dat it is essential and it is a crucial aspect of life here....it could be catastrophic to one's mental faculties and self-esteem if he has no or few frens...

yupz, for now, everythg seems fine on both sides....hehez, hope thgs remain tis way or get even better....
