Saturday...

Feeling much much much better now....my hard work in the aftn paid off.....forced myself to go thru my S/U module.....reorganised my thots....and surprisingly....well, actually it's not dat surprising.....
reorganising my thots alwaiz calms me down...

I worked with my dad juz now to solve a practical problem at home....feels good because firstly, i feel like an electrical engineer debugging and solving a practical problem...and secondly, both my dad and i were so enthusiastic abt solving the problem, and after solving it, happily discuss the skills of an engineer...hahaz, he was trained in the mechanical side while i'm on the electrical side.....
even my sis was surprised my dad and i were so enthu abt it and....well...

the problem was actually that of a faulty microfilter.....we tracked down the problem source step by step, frm the phone and the modem to the phone cable (RJ-11) to finally the 2 microfilters....thru testing and debugging, we isolated and confirmed one of them was faulty....opening it up, it was juz a simple small piece of PCB with 3 capacitors.....hahaz, familiar stuff to me...and i deduced that 1 or more of the capacitors must be damaged....cos there didn't seem to be anythg wrong with the soldering....
and if the capacitors were damaged, there can onli be 2 reasons....
1) they were oredi slightly defective when we got it.... OR
2) high current flow which damaged it....

but the second possibility is very low....how will there be high current flow along a telephone cable....so i suspect that it was oredi slightly defective when we got the microfilter....hahaz...my dad said juz to go get replacement from the singtel shop.....but i'm reali curious as to what actually the reason is.....i'm not spoiling for an argument with the singtel technician or engineer....but i'm very sure our deduction is correct....
i juz wanna noe the reason, and if they can convince me that we r at fault, i'll pay for the replacement....and they wun be able to fool me cos i noe how the entire thing works...hehehez....

ohh yah...before ending tis post....saw a reali cute girl at BK todae....frm Sajc....shld be j2 i tink...hahaz....well, perhaps that helped to lift my spirits abit too....
