Thursday...

Another day of rain....so cold again....i'm getting sick of this weather....hope the sun will re-emerge soon, to warm out hearts and brighten our daes...

Went to school earlier to queue for 汞释嘉's concert tix for tmr in NUS....my MNO frens jioed...so juz go lor....free aniwaiz and it's juz week 1, still can afford to slack abit...

Met Aegean for lunch....she was my MNO tutor last sem, last sem in NUS, will be conferred her Phd after this sem....she wanted to give me a treat as i helped her wif some research work in Dec...but i declined....juz wanted to hav a simple lunch and chit chat as frens....
Lunch turned out to be fun.....kinda updated each other on our future plans.....she'll be going over to University of Victoria in Canada as a lecturer tis July, and the contract has been signed! Cool!
She also asked me abt my NOC stuff....and she shared wif me her experience, her thots....etc abt entrepreneurship, abt the working world....wow,...she is reali very experienced...having worked or studied in so many countries before.....I reali feel wiser after listening to her =)

Also, she said dat I could pass her our LKY Business Plan proposal for vetting before we submit it for the competition if we wan to....and.....best of all, she also told me that I can look for her for references if I need any in future, she'll fill in all her credentials etc....how nice of her....hahaz...

Before we left, I also shared something wif her....I told her that in my 1.5yrs in NUS so far, this MNO team has been the most cohesive team I've ever been part of....and shared wif her my joy and excitement which i had experienced with tis bunch of frens whom I met in our tutorial class last August, perhaps arranged and decreed by fate.....as our tutor last sem, I tink she muz hav been happy to hear dat..... (",)

Second day of sch todae.....talked to Changsheng on the way home yest....1 topic which were discussing....our image.....hahaz....

Me: last sat, someone frm my ssb2216 class said i look artsy!

CS: gd lah....lucky nv say u got the semiconductor face like ur fren e other time...

Me: Kauz....yah lor....say i got semiconductor face.... =(

Cs: hahaz, we muz preserve our image now, don kana the stereotype of EE students dat other ppl hav...

well, certainly, we do not want to fall into the stereotype dat many ppl hav of engineering students....especially electrical engineering students.....some of the comments i hav heard before are....

• wah, engin student, super nerdy lor....whole dae carry a thick programming book walk arnd NUS...
• EE student??! kauz...another computer geek!
• EE student...aiyah, no life wan lah...every wkend stay home do programming...
• sianz, engin student....boring ppl....

hahaz, there are many more....but these few r bad enuff liao lah...we were both glad dat there are ppl who actually mistook us as the type who don't study, who juz play all dae long.....and enjoy ourselves (you noe who you are, hee)....hahaz, when in actual fact, we do study hard.....but the important distinctive factor here is dat.....

we study hard, but we play hard too! dat's impt regardless of wat student u are.....onli den can u enjoy life to the fullest,
u study hard, get the grades u wan and at e same time, indirectly help to lead u to ur goals or dreams...
u play hard, can destress and relax, and most imptly, u remain a FUN person!
who wants to work or be associated wif nerds?! hahaz, so at the end of the chat, we were both very satisfied....and we'll continue to do what we've been doing =)
